That's right folks, it's finally come to this, our last show ever. It's been a hell of a lot of fun over the last ten years, but it's better to go out with a bang. So that's what we're doing this April 20th starting at 6pm with:

Millionaire's Express: Everyone wants a piece of this choo-choo and they will stop at nothing to get a hunk of the wealthy passenger's riches. This wacky martial arts/western/comedy, directed by Sammo Hung, features a who's who of Hong Kong cinema including our favorite martial lady Cynthia Rothrock. The fighting is hard, the comedy is Looney Tunes and this train is taking you on a one way trip to...

Forbidden Zone at 7:30 - There is little we can say to explain or describe this movie except to say that it is strange, surreal and unforgettable. From the minds that brought you the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo, this trip down the rabbit hole is sure to leave you brain spinning just in time for....

Boxer's Omen at 9pm - There is simply no other film that combines gore, horror, black magic, kung fu and mysticism in quite the same formula or quantity as Boxer's Omen. To avenge his brother's death, a boxer must become a monk and do battle with a witch doctor in a string of mindbending battles that you simply cannot believe until it penetrates your eyes.

It's true, we will probably do some intermittent pop-up shows in the future, should we come across some films that absolutely HAVE to be seen, but this is the end of our regular run. We're honored that you stuck with us and yes, a little sad to go, but the memories have been great and we're happy about it all. So come on out, have fun and say GOOD RIDDANCE with us on April 20th! WHo knew it would come to this? Just two shows left and we're not fooling around with this shit. This March 16th at the mother lovin' Sunset we're knocking out three serious flicks starting with:

Treasure Hunters at 6pm
The legendary Alex Fu Sheng and Gordon Liu star in this hard hitting fight packed comedy about a bunch of people trying to find some treasure. Surprise! But this film was also known as Master of Disaster. It's an amazing dose of classic Shaw!

Ozone Attack of the Redneck Mutants starts at 7:30 and brings you a low budget gorefest only Texas could produce. From the team that brought you The Abomination comes environmental disaster induced disaster!

And finally The Cat, in which a cat from space does battle with a vile sloppy glob of space slime! Only in Hong Kong do they make movies like this!

MARCH 16th at The Sunset, show starts at 6pm!Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-44831629673050275222015-02-07T17:31:00.001-08:002015-02-07T18:55:03.143-08:00Double Gore Gore Trouble Virgins From Girl Hell

February 16th is no date to thumb your nose at. Why, you may ask? Well, that's because we're bringing you a triple threat of trashy cinema straight from the goat's mouth. Don't believe me? Just witness the carnage starting with:

Double Trouble at 6pm - Those burly boneheads Peter and David Paul, better known as the Barbarian Brothers return to grace the Grindhouse screen in a juxtaposition to end all juxtapositions. Karl Jung would be ashamed.

7:30pm - From the wilds of Indonesia it's Virgins From Hell. We're going full Women In Prison massacre as Shiela and her all-girl biker gang take on the nefarious Mr. Tiger in a non-stop battle to the death!

And finally as if that weren't obnoxious enough its The Gore Gore Girls at 9pm. Our first Herschell Gordon Lewis film is one of his last and loopiest as a sleazy private dick searches for the mysterious killer behind a series of call-girl deaths. There will be blood and guts aplenty in this film from the acclaimed Lewis as he calls it quits (almost) in high, and self depricating style. You may regret it.

Awesome! Welcome to the newest of years fellow freaks. We're not going to shy away from a little absurdity in the last four months of our regular show. Not a chance. And to prove my point I present to you this month's show beginning with:

6pm - DROID - This hour long Blade Runner knockoff was actually edited down from not one but two X-rated adult films from '87 and '88.
With all the hardcore removed it may not be much more comprehensible, but it sure is amazing. And what a budget!

7pm - Disco Godfather - Tucker Williams was content to get the crowds swinging at Blueberry Hill Disco with his copyrighted catchphrase "Put your weight on it," but that was before someone started selling Angel Dust to the kiddies. Now out of retirement, Tuck is back on patrol and kicking ass in the finest rhinestones!

8:30pm - Ninja 3: The Domination - The ninja invasion was in full swing by 1984 and flush with success and the star of Breakin', Ninja 3 was perhaps the pinnacle of the Americaninjasploitation genre before there ever was a Dudikoff. Possessed by the spirit of an evil ninja, Lucinda Dickey appears to be unstoppable, but the ubiquitous Sho Kosugi will no doubt have something to say about that!

Come put your weight on it at The Sunset this January 19th. You know the drill ya bums. It's Christmassacre time and the love is in the air.

This year we're returning with a trio of terrible Christmas films to tear your teats off.

First up at 6pm is the incomparable Hulk Hogan in:
Santa With Muscles
A film about a jerk who suffers a concussion and thinks he's Santa, leading to much hilarity and joy. Wonder and Joy.

Then at 7:30 you'll thrill to the agony that is Jack Frost 2. You may not remember Jack, and you may not want to, but that doesn't mean he doesn't remember you and he's coming. With a sack full of puns for all the good girls and boys.

Finally at 9 o'clock we present for the last fucking time at KFG, our perennial holiday favorite, the incomparable Silent Night Deadly Night.
Santa punishes naughty children. 'Nuf said.

So if, like us, you detest the holiday, come celebrate with sheer cinematic trash! Or is it TREASURE!? Only you can be the judge, but you have to witness it in person for your vote to count.
See ya at the Sunset...

At last we have arrived. Once again it's time for a stack of movies to see the light of day for the first time in, well, who knows.
We're putting our neck on the line for you dear viewers, so hopefully it's worth it.
This October 20th we return to the Sunset, albeit a new incarnation for another round of Unseen Horror!

First up at 6pm is a thing called Alien Space Avenger. From the director of Class of Nuke 'Em High comes a sci-fi cop looking thing with some gore, but ya never know until ya watch it for the first time...

Next is The Satan Killer, a movie we had to get simply based on the cover. Let's hope it was a wise choice.

And finally Black Devil Doll from Hell, a rare 80's shot-on-video treat which lets hope is as good as the title.

That's right, we haven't seen 'em till you see 'em, so it's a gamble of the funnest kind.

Come see us on October 20th, 6pm, at the Sunset! Seating at this popular show is limited, so come early!
And go like us on FB for regular updates.
We're back at Hattie's Hat for one more month before the Sunset re-opens and we figured we'd take advantage of the intimate surroundings of the back room to spend a little quality time with one of our favorite martial artists.

We've met Cynthia Rothrock before at KFG, but there's asomething special about the films we chose for tonight's show. Before we meet the star though, brace yourself for...

Awful Hour @ 6pm - whence came the salvage.

24 Hours to Midnight - Writer/director Leo Fong wasn't known for his big budgets, but he never let a project go unfinished. Or at least, not this one. Begun in '85, by the time it was finished six years later, Cynthia had moved on and all that remained were a few choice cuts. Although largely nonsense, the remaining film is quite entertainingly bad. You'll see.

Magic Crystal - The popularity of several Spielberg films in the middle 80's did not go unnoticed in Hong Kong where Cynthia Rothrock and longtime comrade and martial artist Richard Norton were cast opposite each other once again in this bizarre genre mash-up. Between (and thanks to) the oddities and anomalies lies a phenomenal film. The only thing standing between an evil magician and the KGB getting their hands on a very special rock are Interpol Agent Cynthia and her pals . But they might have some help from a friendly extra-terrestrial. You'll see it all in Magic Crystal.

Once again, we're at Hattie's Hat this month! The show starts at 6 and seating is limited though not limiting.

We've been uprooted but we resetting our gnarled vines at Hattie's Hat this August 18th for a fresh round of garbage cinema in the back room!

Come on down and witness the majesty that will be...

6pm - Awful Hour - In which the VHS era comes back to life to dance and sing and scrape its way across the dual screens in Aunt Harriet's Room!

7pm - Kung Fu vs. Yoga - Headslapping comedy meets lightning fast-fu as one gap toothed loon goes mano-a-mano with another in this classic throwback to the days of style-vs.-style martial arts mania. One of the wackiest of the bunch and far more entertaining than even Kung-Fu vs the Mafia!

8:30pm - Alley Cat - Karin Mani stars as a busty Charles Bronson in this 1984 Death Wish knockoff with all the finesse and class of high waisted jeans. Thrill as Karin kicks junkies in the face, gasp as she serves time in the clink, and cheer as she teams up with a strapping young policeman to dance between the sheets, but mostly to avenge her dear grandmother and end Scarface's reign of terror! Your eyes are sure to be a-poppin this month at Kung Fu Grindhouse!

REMEMBER!: this month and next, we're at Hattie's Hat, 5231 Ballard Ave NW, in the back room. Space is much more limited so don't be late if ya wanna seat!Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-60810353096656530382014-07-09T09:00:00.002-07:002014-07-22T11:05:50.447-07:00I Drink Your Angel Braniac Blood

We're knocking out our last month at the Sunset (for a while) with a triple feature of bizarre and hilarious movies for your succor.

First up it's The Brainiac, a wierd and wooly monster movie from 1960's Mexico in which an evil warlock returns to Earth aboard a comet to eat the brains of his former enemies descendants and glare at the camera in a wild rubber outfit.

Fast-forward to the the good old USA for a Manson Family-esque jaunt through the backwoods in I Drink Your Blood. When a band of grimy, lunatic hippies show up in town, a local boy with a corpse fetish takes matters into his own hands. Soon however the town is overrun by bloodthirsty hippies and construction workers. Well, at least the kid tried to help.

Finally with Angelfist we're off the the Philippines for a hearty dose of martial arts action from ignominious director Cirio Santiago. In this Kickboxer knockoff we find Cat Sassoon on the hunt for her sister's killers and fighting her way from locker-room to ring, up the proverbial food chain to unravel a conspiracy of B-movie proportions.

From suction-cup hands to barbecued rats to gratuitous birthday suits this month's KFG is a feast for the eyes, let me tell ya.

Come see it all with us on July 21st at the Sunset. Show starts at 6pm sharp!
The devil is, as they say, in the details and this months show proves the rule. On JUNE 16th we're stirring the waters of contempt once again with a double feature you won't soon forget.
We open this buffet at 6pm with an appetizer called...
Awful Hour - In which trashy found videos are beamed at your eyeballs for sixty whole minutes. Phill has just recovered a delectable stack of instructionals for us to abhor.
At 7pm it's the Korean production A.P.E., possibly the lowest of the low budget Kong knockoffs, A.P.E. pulls no gut-punches in it's effort to offend the senses. There will be rubber masks, shark wrasslin', apes that change size in every shot and screaming, oh yes will there be screaming.
Finally at 8:30 we bring you the 1975 classic Flying Guillotine. Not to be confused with Master of the Flying Guillotine which was released a year later and featured just ONE, this film offers up a whole pride of flying decapitators. When a paranoid emperor begins beheading everyone in sight, one of his guards (Chen Kuan Tai) becomes disillusioned and leaves to become a farmer. But ya can't get too far from the guillotine and Chen Kuan Tai is gonna have to figure out how to beat those flying furies!

Come see it all happen at the Sunset on June 16 at 6pm!The Goodkindhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17294509858220476081noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-40457257171711594582014-05-05T15:28:00.002-07:002014-05-05T15:28:37.049-07:00Double Dose of Deadly Death

This May 19th say your prayers as we prepare to dine on a double dose of Deadly Death!

At 6pm we open the evening with a single hour of the most atrocious film that can be dredged up from the muck of history in The Awful Hour

Then, up at 7pm is the classic Shaw picture Death Valley in which hired assassins and fugitives unwittingly become friends. Packed with the sort of swordplay you expect from the top talent of the era.

Finally at 8:30 we rack-em-up for Deadly Prey, a film that brings home the bacon on sheer gun-hungry mania. They say he was the best in Vietnam, he still is! Watch as a man wronged sets the world right again, all while wearing nothing but a pair of cut-offs. What could be more beautiful we ask you, what?

Only all of these things, on one night, in one place, in good company.

After nine years of silly and sloppy cinema we're marking the beginning of our tenth with a favorite new practice, UNSEEN VIDEO! That's right, on April 21st we'll be watching for the FIRST TIME EVER, three films we picked off the shelves at Scarecrow Video simply based on their boxes.

It'll be hard to hold out, but we don't see 'em till you see 'em beginning with...

Tammy and the T-Rex at 6pm - High school shenanigans apparently ensue when a guy turns into a Tyranosaur and must still win the heart of the gal he loves?

Karate Cop at 7:30 - David Carradine is in it and it looks pretty bad.

And finally at 9pm it's The Suckling - An aborted and flushed fetus mutates and returns to seek revenge! Is it Christian propaganda, or just plain homegrown horror? Only you can decide when we watch it together on April 21st!

Please note THE FIRST FILM STARTS AT 6pm! This shit is gonna be full, so make sure to get your seats! Plus we'll be giving shit away, so you don't want to miss this sucker!
As we're sure you're well aware, the time has come once again to grind the house as we like to say over here at Kung Fu Grindhouse. Before I get too lexically clever lets take a look at what's on the platter for March 17th at The Sunset...

First up at 6pm is Awful Hour, that special time of the evening when we scrounge up something painful from the VHS age...

Next at 7pm you'll find yourself transported back through time to 1986 when BMX bikes were all the rage and skinny jeans not yet "ironic." Cru Jones is a small town kid with a paper-route. Will his awesome pedaling skills and heartwarming community support stand up to those big city goon riders? Find out in RAD!

Then at 8:30 we have an offbeat little tale about a man who must avenge his brother's mysterious death in Thailand. Sounds more than a little like a popular film from 1988, but with the inclusion of the awkward Loren Avedon and of Billy Blanks as the baddie, King of the Kickboxers offers more than a few twists, turns and opportunities for hilarity.

So, without further ado, get your ass to The Sunset on March 17th!Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-14110037924462514852014-02-06T13:58:00.001-08:002014-02-06T13:58:23.576-08:00Golden Swallow & Kill and Kill Again

Then at 7pm: 1968's Golden Swallow. This beautifully shot Shaw Brothers classic directed by Chang Cheh features
Cheng Pei-pei reprising her role as Golden Swallow from the film Come Drink
with Me. She is wrongfully framed for murder and must fight her way to
innocence. Two men with an eye for Golden Swallow and jealousy for each other
stand by her side in an intense action love triangle.

Finally capping off a night of intense martial combat comes Kill and Kill Again, a 1981 South African karate film with a healthy dose of humor.Steve Chase does his merry best to stop an evil guy bent on ruling the world with an army of "karate slaves." The comparisons to a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoon don't stop there as Steve teams up with a gaggle of silly goons and pretty gals to flex, sweat, wisecrack and keee-ai his way to victory in finest Afrikaans fashion.

You know how these things work, so be there on February 17 at 6pm for the REAL DEAL.
Seats fill up fast, so don't be late.

Our January 20, 2014 installment features one of the most fascinating
phenomena of the 20th century. And what better time than the 21st. We
open a new year of KFG with some of our terrible favorites of the last
years, and by terrible I mean of course, AMAZING!

First up at 6 is of course Awful Hour in which the refuse of a billion video cassettes washes up on the shores of the Sunset Screen...

Then at 7pm we present for your satisfaction the 1988 Italian masterpiece Robowar. Directed by the nefarious Bruno Mattei, this gem stars Reb Brown in a bizarre mashup of Terminator and Predator with a synth soundtrack. Ooof!

Finally at 8:30 the cream of the crop, 2005's Exterminator City in which a robot exterminator goes insane and starts murdering softcore actresses. Robo-priests, robo-psychiatrists and hard-boiled robot-detectives all do their part in making this one of the most screwy messes in recent memory. And they're all puppets. Yes, puppets. Silly gore, unintelligible dialogue and surgically augmented mammary glands abound in this extremely low budget favorite. WARNING: unnecessary nudity, terrible acting, bloody puppets and groaning make up the bulk of this film.

See you on JANUARY 20th!Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-55879590492698587692013-12-08T17:37:00.000-08:002013-12-08T17:37:47.328-08:00Christmassacre

Bounty is always subject to a measure of quality, and this year we're celebrating the season of plenty with the lower end of the spectrum:

6:00pm - Awful Hour - Searching for the finest only leads to rejects which we cannot help but share...

7:00 - Garbage Pail Kids - The name says more than they could have hoped! Perhaps one of the most misguided films of all time, GPK is live-action visual nausea of the purest pedigree. Like the Super Mario Bros. movie only barfier! We can do ANYTHING while working with each other!

8:30 - To The Limit - The late great Anna Nicole Smith's legacy of lunacy will probably soon be forgotten, but not if we can help it! To the Limit is but one of the three or so feature films she did and boy is it a stinker. Ninja secret agent Nicole battles disgruntled 'Nam vets for posession of a shiny CD-ROM disc in this incredible explosion of talent!

We had so much fun (and apparently you did too) with our unseen horror event last year, we had to do it again which means this:
1.) We went to Scarecrow Video and picked three movies we'd never seen before simply based on the boxes.

2.) We worked very hard at not watching them in the meantime so that we could see 'em for the first time with you on the Sunset big screen on October 28th...

The delectable selections for this event include....

6pm - Attack of the Beast Creatures: The box art was horrible, but the pictures promise nothing short of hilarity as small red doll monsters brutally dispatch the actors.
7:30 - Roller Blade: Not truly a horror film, but the promise of post-apocalyptic roller-skating was too much to resist. Yes I said "skate" because this was made before the days of "blades," but thankfully not before the days of sharp metal instruments of violence.

9:00 - Rat Man: The box art was a murky photograph that didn't tell us much, but the tagline, "The Critter from the Shitter" sold it instantly. A small hideous man who lives in the sewers is clearly up to no good...

Which means you'd better be there for the action at the Sunset Tavern in Ballard on Monday, October 28th. The first film starts at 6pm, so get there early for a good seat, this is gonna be special.
This September is all fired up to be about as shocking as they come. With a couple of feature films cranking the crazy up to 11, we open the evening with an appetizer of:

6:00pm – The Awful Hour, in which the title pretty much says it all. Phill dredges up the muck from a stagnant cesspool of VHS culture…

At 7:00 pm - To heavily paraphrase the immortal words of Bill Hicks; If you don’t think drugs have done anything good for our culture, you’re mistaken. He was talking mostly about music of course, but Mi ni te gong dui, or Fantasy Mission Force if you prefer, is a cinematic case-in-point. Regarded by many of it’s lucky witnesses, as among the most nonsensical, downright insane kung-fu movies ever made. We’ve heard that before here at Kung Fu Grindhouse, but with Abraham Lincoln, zombies, Nazis, Cannibals and Jackie Chan this is sure to be a strong contender for the head-slap awards.

Then at 8:30 - The connection seems at first tenuous, but pornography and fitness videos both indulge the evangelical tradition in a way that would do Jimmy Swaggart proud. Without the sin, there could be no weeping (or sweating as it were,) flagellating repentance. Without beauty there could be no ugly. It is entirely fitting that this irrational contradiction would be taken to its psychosexual apex in a straight-to-video horror flick from the 80’s. If you thought Death Spa was good, wait until you see Killer Workout. (AKA Aerobicide) This is gonna hurt.

We'll see you at The Sunset on September 16th, with bells on. Yes it's true, after a nearly five week absence from our lives, the Grindhouse is back to soothe battered nerves. On Monday August 19th this divine reprieve will grace the screen with three delightful anodynes, beginning with:

Awful Hour @ 6: Scrounged from the depths of obsolete media storage formats comes an hour of the finest and perhaps funniest of video sado-masochism. we're going to mix it up a bit this month in the hopes that more of you videophiles will come out and enjoy these sixty unique minutes of video carnage. You'll never get them back.

Stone Cold @ 7: Seattleites have a long memory for sports failures, but few have been as sorely recalled as that of the BOZ. In spite of his largely risible tenure with the 'Hawks however, his cinema career has been, well, largely risible. Although slated to appear in The Expendables 3, Brian Bosworth's acting debut was in 1991 undercover mullet-cop goes rogue-biker flick Stone Cold. The final judgement, at least as far as we're concerned, rests in your hands...

Invincible Super Chan @ 8:30: Set aside all your woes however and travel back twenty years before Boz to find yourself in a world unlike any before or since. Is there any point at all in trying to make sense of the violence and absurdity that is Super Chan? No good edits or prints of this exist in the US market, so we'll content ourselves with this ride through the time stream of absurdity the best we can; with a drinking game! An unhinged and wacky trip through magical flight, decapitations and giant edible boulders. But don't take my word for it, come see this silly business for yourself on August 19th at The Sunset BIG SCREEN.
Kung Fu Grindhouse is the truth, and the truth never got more important than this people.Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-70125526526623761592013-07-08T11:48:00.003-07:002013-07-10T10:57:50.032-07:00Gymkata

Time flies when you're trying to come up with clever ways to describe bad movies.
This July 15th is a mixed bag of sorts beginning of course at 6pm with the ever popular Awful Hour wherein we pick at the mouldering carcass of the VHS age.

Then at 7pm, to honor the late Lau Kar-leung who died this last June, we're screening one of our favorite films from his veritable pantheon of greats. We'll be treating you (and ourselves) to the turbo-speed action of Mad Monkey Kung Fu. I wish I could say there was more to this film's plot than simple revenge, but anyway, it's a good sort of revenge and executed very satisfyingly by the masterful Kar-leung and his co-star Hsaio-Ho in one of our favorite (did I say that already?) wu-xia films EVER.

Finally, we're bringing it back down a few dozen notches with the perennial favorite atrocity known simply as Gymkata. If you're not familiar with the premise in which an Olympic gymnast goes all Surviving the Game somewhere in eastern Europe, then nothing I can say will prepare you for what will assail your see-holes on JULY 15th.

See you at the Sunset.Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-68040363530103098982013-06-10T10:20:00.001-07:002013-06-10T10:20:29.766-07:00Future Force

Running full tilt with scissors into June we quickly found ourselves face to face with the FUTURE, and boy does it look pretty. Opening the night as usual at 6pm with some VHS cinema salvage for Awful Hour, Monday June 24 quickly gets down to the business of low-budget lawless dystopian nightmares with:

Mutant Hunt, 1987 - Making good his temporary departure from gay-porn, director Tim Kincaid helms this doozy of a yarn concerning drugs, evil robots and barely clad beefcake; the 80's never saw better! Produced and scored by the Band Brothers (of Full Moon Pictures infamy) Mutant Hunt makes modern day New Jersey look like a walk in the park.

Leaping feet first into our ninth year, we've concocted a selection of oddball cinema sure to make your eyeballs water for one reason or another.

First up at 6pm is the ubiquitous Awful Hour in which we present some of the finest in rescued video tapes from the trash-heap of history. It's looking Christian and instructional if my VHS compass is at all accurate...

Then at 7pm we will witness the siren sounds of Japanese Kaiju gone thoroughly absurd with Frankenstein Conquers the World. Nazi's set the tone before the plot moves to Japan where science struggles to save the day under the onslaught of giant radioactive lizards...

At 8:30pm we're rounding things off with a hearty helping of Gaijin-ninja activities in the form of low-rent American Ninja ripoff Sakura Killers. The political climate of the 80's garnishes an already rich sauce of ninja movie cliche's when the Soviets, eager to destroy the worlds food supply, snatch a top-secret video tape. Hired to retrieve said VHS cassette are Sonny and Dennis, two secret agent types. But before recovering the tape, they must first cruise the bars of Hong Kong (?) and learn ninja skills. This bone-headed classic has been lost to the ages, but we're bringing it back to the big(ish) screen just for your enjoyment!

Join us won't you on May 20th when we will gather together to remember some of the finest cinema ever to be forgotten.Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-194295926985546400.post-78040875098162992372013-04-03T15:45:00.004-07:002013-04-03T18:27:00.199-07:008th Anniversary!

Although it is a fundamental aspect of our program to look through the past, it's not often that we revisit our own. However, it is appropriate when acknowledging another anniversary to sometimes look at how far you've come, and it has been a long journey to get here.
Through thick and thin, up and down, we've brought you:

For Your Height Only: In which a small Filipino Interpol agent foils the nefarious plans of a narcotics kingpin. Hearts will be broken, bases will be raided, discos will be danced and the jetpacks will be smokin' hot in this perennial favorite from the South Pacific. Viva Weng!

Challenge of the Lady Ninja: A Chinese woman trained in the secret skills of Japanese Yi Ho Ninja returns home to defend the fatherland. Training her own team, these lady ninjas will take on the entire Japanese army with just a few fashionable bathing outfits and steely determination. First time back at the Sunset for nearly 6 years!

Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky: A classic of unmeasurable proportions, Riki-Oh concerns a beefy young man unjustly imprisoned in a hyperbolically harsh maximum hilarity institution. Fighting back against a mob of viciously immoral caricatures, Ricky will smash faces, sever limbs, perforate bowels, gargle with razor blades and grind mountains of quivering muscle into hamburger meat in a literal industrial strength shower of bloody grue right before your weeping eyes. Riki-Oh is good, but in a crowd of fellow revelers, it's truly great.

All this and more at The Sunset, Monday April 15th. Show starts at 6pm sharp! Phill Tumahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18105413749853605923noreply@blogger.com0
